INSPIRATION BEHIND THE TRACK

Allie Baby wrote “No Feelings” because of her experiences with past relationships. She expresses through the entire track her disgust and frustration with ex-boyfriends who insisted on coming back into her life. “In attempts to move on with my life, they did everything in their power to stifle my growth” says Allie. “Consequently I became the woman with ‘No Feelings’ for [manipulative men]”. Allie reassures women there is nothing wrong with putting yourself first after a toxic relationship with undertones of female empowerment.

The hit single also features New Orleans native songwriter and R&B artist, Denisia. She adds a sensational vibe and flavor to the chorus which echoes the song’s theme: “I can do bad all by myself.”

The video effectively demonstrates the aftermath of a scorned woman. Allie states, “After broken promises and the recollection of taking a leap of faith with the persuasive, so called Mr. Right; she seeks fulfillment elsewhere”.

No Feelings was inspired by her respect and admiration for Issa Rae and her hit HBO series “Insecure.” Allie wrote a treatment and a script to reenact the hit show in a New Orleans setting. Dj Buras makes an appearance from the CBS TV Series “NCIS New Orleans,” in addition to her co-star Stanley White Jr.. He appeared in several films as a stuntman, actor, and her rock band “Alpha Rhythm In The Mercy Circus”. Rapper Peblo Da BG also stars in the video.
